"Food banks bracing themselves for onslaught if unemployment benefits lapse."

Federal Reserve forced in a lawsuit to reveal the details of massive $3.3 trillion dollar aid program offered to the financial industry during the height of the financial crisis.


"Comcast busted: New tolls for Netflix aren't all you should be worried about."  Meanwhile, the FCC version of net neutrality is far from what Obama promised and riddled with loopholes.

"....there are few countries in the world with citizenries and especially media outlets more devoted to serving, protecting and venerating government authorities than the U.S.....for authoritarian minds, those who expose secrets are far more hated than those in power who commit heinous acts using secrecy as the principal weapon...."

Progressive budget plans aim for economic growth and job creation.  "A budget for America's Future"....a good beginning; as far as the "healthcare cost problem" single payer would solve that.

The food safety bill: a step forward but still falls short.

Congress, especially the GOP hypocrites, tell the unemployed to go pound sand.while Obama's dunderheaded (violating its charter) deficit commission continues to tell regular Americans to drop dead.

Insanity reigns: while the TSA wants porn scanners at train stations, Amtrak will now allow passengers to bring guns on board its trains.  This country is screwed.....


Is the US Trustees Program, the unit of the Justice Department charged with overseeing the integrity of the nation’s bankruptcy courts, finally realizing that that banks can also cheat borrowers and scrutinizing the veracity of banks’ claims of right to mortgage foreclosure against borrowers?
