Memory Loss a Hallmark of GOPers

A defining hallmark of members of the GOP and their lemming followers is total memory loss when it comes to the Reagan and Bush administrations and their debt records.

Whether it's the elected GOP prevaricators on Capitol Hill or those GOP celebrity Pinocchios like gubernatorial quitter Sarah Palin, their memory loss, ignorance, and attempts at revisionist history when it comes to these Republican presidents borders on the delusional.

As Blue Texan at Firedoglake writes regarding Palin's new book that decries "irresponsible debt" but "fails to note Republicans are largely to blame":

"From the Quitter’s ghostwriter’s new book.

“I can’t think of a sadder prospect for Todd and me than our spending our sunset years telling our grandson, Tripp, and our grandchildren yet to come about what it was like in America when we were strong and proud and free,” she adds. “But maybe I can think of a sadder prospect: Tripp and our other grandchildren spending their whole lives working to pay off the irresponsible debt we have accumulated and are about to leave to them.

"Yeah, funny thing about that debt.

"Since the national debt is the worst thing evah, shouldn’t the Quitter really despise Ronald Reagan, since he tripled the debt, thus forcing poor Tripp into servitude? Nah.

Also in the excerpts Palin describes the book as “my view of America and what has made her great,” and says much of her current inspiration comes from conservative icon Ronald Reagan.

"Not the slightest bit of cognitive dissonance."

BTW, how many times did the factually challenged Palin use the word "refudiate" or claim that Reagan went to Eureka College in California in "her" book?
