and is a resounding "no" to Erskine-Simpson's cow pies. It's pitiful
that DINO Obama and crew couldn't figure this out for themselves.

Even though the financial reform bill is diluted, compromised legislation, Wall Street is quietly trying to weaken and undo it.
"The British government will reportedly pay millions in compensation to seven British nationals who were unlawfully "rendered" to U.S.-run prisons and tortured with the cooperation of British intelligence."

As usual, the plutocratic GOP is balking at extending unemployment insurance for millions of jobless workers out of work for more than six months in an economy that has nearly five job seekers for every opening. UI has a huge positive effect on the economy, not only for the jobless, but by keeping millions of other workers on the job.
Meanwhile, Repuglicans senators unanimously (that included Snowe and Collins) voted against fair pay for women bill that had passed the House. It was, naturally, also strongly opposed by the US Chamber of Commerce with which the Obama administration wants to make nice ignoring the chamber's vicious campaign attacks and subversion of the democratic process.
Unlike most regular Americans struggling to keep their heads above water in this economic and unemployment crisis, more than half the elected members of Congress are millionaires with personal wealth increasing.
