While more than 200 Democratic candidates for Congress, spearheaded by Jack Conway, the Kentucky Dem running for US Senate, have formally signed a petition opposing any cuts or adjustments of Social Security benefits, that affects most regular Americans, confirming the Democratic Party's traditional principle of working for the common good.

Meanwhile, 253 Republican candidates pledged to repeal the inheritance tax/estate tax that affects only the richest 0.6% of estates confirming the GOP's defining principle as the party of, by, and for the wealthy few.

"We're really at the point where no sane person should get a mortgage given the kind of fraud and theft that the criminal banks have perpetrated.  This banking/mortgage crime is endemic nationally, yet we get this stupid drivel from the corporatist Obama administration protecting the criminals.

Obviously, these Dems have never heard of Lee Atwater, etc. GOP/Tea Party dirty tricksters were able to access Organizing for America (OFA) (which was folded into the Democratic National Committee following Obama's election), online "virtual" phone bank ostensibly for use by Democratic volunteers.  However, anyone can access the information without so much as logging in. And as it turns out, some conservative activists are doing just that.  As of Monday, the web page provided the names of Democrats who voted in 2008 but who aren't always regular voters, plus their phone numbers, ages, locations, and party affiliations. OFA also includes a script to use.....In contrast the GOP system not only requires registration but a live phone call from the RNC to verify your indentity. Not only that, but the Republicans have also put measures in place to protect the privacy of its volunteers and the GOP's click-to-call system also doesn't reveal the phone number of the voter to the phone banker....
