Most of the Health Care Bills Pending in Congress have Major Flaws

Those numerous health care bills pending is Congress have one thing in common: one way or another they will screw regular, struggling Americans.

That is pathetic and scandalous considering there is supposed to be a Democratic majority in Congress and Democrat in the White House.

However, with only some exceptions they should be called DINOs, not real Democrats.

I wrote a piece recently, "Democratic Dummies Double Crossed By Their Health Insurance Bribers", that included a link to an article by Michael Moore and Rose Ann DeMoro, which had a partial list (13) of the problems with current health care bills in Congress.   On that list was this: no restrictions on insurance denials of care that insurers don't want to pay for.

Now, from the LA Times comes this: "Despite growing frustration with the way health insurers deny medical treatments, major healthcare bills pending in Congress would give patients little new power to challenge those sometimes life-and-death decisions.

" 'Right now, the deck is stacked against patients,' said Bryan Liang, director of the Institute of Health Law Studies at California Western Law School in San Diego. 'Healthcare reform is not going to change the ball game.'

"That leaves insurers with the other big cost-containment tool: turning down requests to cover treatments."

When you have a House and Senate mostly filled with millionaire members who are covered by top quality government provided health care and other benefits and these elected health industry whores refuse to support HR 676 and S. 703 both single payer health care bills that are the best and most logical answers to the abominable, shameful health care problem....employer based, private, for profit, insurance coverage...in the US; a Congress that refuses to bring this country up to par with other industrialized nations that provide government administered, comprehensive, affordable health care coverage for all their people, then you can better understand why regular Americans will be shamefully screwed by their elected representatives in Washington, again.

And just as shamefully, unlike Truman, Kennedy, and Johnson, we have a so called Democratic president who isn't fighting for national health care.
