Missing In Action
I've been off line for week.
While I'm disappointed, dismayed and often disgusted with the Washington scene, especially many of the Democrats on Capitol Hill acting like Republicans, ditto for the Obama administration, especially regarding the health care "reform" fiasco with a Rube Goldberg "solution" that will penalize and hurt, instead of help, average Americans. while increasing the obscene profits of the health care industry ensuring America's shameful, continuing unconscionable position as one of the few industrialized nations that refuses to offer universal, government administered health care that other nations have been providing all their inhabitants for decades, I did not move to Canada, but sustained an injury that prevented me from using the computer.
It's gotten better and, I hope, physical therapy will get me back to 100% wellness.
One of the maddening moments in this saga came at the orthopedic specialists...a group practice, in whose waiting room everyone was assaulted by a TV that only had one channel: ClusterFox or Fixed Propaganda Noise. It could only be turned off and on. Complaint was greeted with an admission that there have been increasingly numerous complaints by patients angry and annoyed by the situation.
Unfortunately, because of the area and its limited selection of specialists, (the majority of physicians here definitely do not support any public plan) patients remain captive to Murdoch's spewing monster(s) .
I should be back on Monday.
