GOP Voter Suppression Efforts Designed To Help Republican Candidates

For more than forty years, the Republican Party has been the party of voter suppression and disenfranchisement, winning elections by keeping Democratic leaning, especially minorities and low income voters away from the polls.

During the Nixon, Reagan, and both Bush eras, they ratcheted up the dirty tricks and frivolous lawsuits in a redoubled effort to maintain Republican control of national elections, although their despicable tactics have appeared in state and local elections, too.

However, the criminal Bush regime has taken this voter suppression to a new low with its politicization of federal departments and agencies.

As Ken Silverstein at Harper's reminds readers: "From the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform:

"A draft Committee report circulated by Chairman Waxman finds that in the months before the 2006 elections, the White House Office of Political Affairs "enlisted agency heads across government in a coordinated effort to elect Republican candidates to Congress, directing them "to make hundreds of trips ”most at taxpayer expense” for the purpose of increasing the electability of Republicans."

These illegal and anti-rule of law Republican Party tactics carried out by the Republican campaigns and a Republican  White House are an intrinsic part of the GOP voter suppression philosophy and strategy that continues to employ anti-American dirty tricks hinder voters' rights in the United States.

The Republican Party, Republican candidates, Republican White House  = untrustworthy, un-American, and dishonorable. GOP = Greed Over People
