Taxpayer Wall Street Bailout Money Will Be Distributed By Former Goldman Sachs VP
"Let me be clear, on the face of it, Neel Kashkari looks impressive. But VP isn't even a high position at Goldman. And his background appears to be in tech investing, though he has been leading up Treasury's response to the housing meltdown (a ambiguous recommendation in itself.)
"In any case, I want to be clear. I'm not saying Kashkari is another Michael Brown. But he is going to be in charge of upwards of a trillion dollars, in a task that would challenge an economics and finance genius from any era, and one rife with ethical and conflict of interest pitfalls.
"I think we need to hear a lot more about the thinking behind this appointment."
As Bloomberg News states: "Kashkari, a former vice president at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., is currently assistant secretary for international economics and development. He has been one of Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson's key advisers on housing issues."
So the guy who headed up the Treasury Dept. lies, cover up, supporting self-regulation, no worries mate response to the housing crisis will be in charge of the bailout program. My God, this is crazy!
What the hell is going on? Have congressional leaders lost their frigging minds allowing the Bushite supporters of this fianancial catastrophe to administer the distribution of American taxpayers almost $1 trillion to their crony thieves on Wall Street?
And Hank Paulson used to be head of Goldman Sachs. What a suprise! How coincidental....how blatantly corrupt.
Congress has a lot of explaining to do after November 4 to regular hardworking Americans.
