As I said many times before and arrogant Democrtic leadership on Capitol Hill chose to ignore progressive economists in order to protect and support their Wall Street contibutors at the expense of the American people.

 

Unfortunately, while the Republican presidential candidate helped create this financial deregulation disaster, the Democratic candidate is caught between a rock and a hard place, acquiescing to this bad bill in hopes of correcting it after January 20, 2009.

 

However, the statements of progressive economist, Dean Baker, on a brief American News Project video (via Commondreams.org) should give House Democrats pause before they again jump into the cesspool of the bailout bill that they are considering.
