Yet another blatant scam and lie by J. Sid McSame.  He plans to suspend his campaign and wants to postpone the debate to return to Washington to help on a Wall Street rescue plan.

 

Here is a man who has been running a dishonest, disnhonorable campaign; who admits he knows nothing about economics; whose chief economic adviser, Phil Gramm, helped cause this financial debacle; who has had the worst attendance record in the Senate; whose Republican Party and this administration deregulatory policies which McSame espouses laid the foundation and encouraged this debacle, who never campaigns on the weekend; who limits himself to one campaign event per day; whose lack of judgment resulted in an unqualified running mate; who owns eight houses and 13 cars;

whose gaffes and lies during this campaign led even members of his own party to question his abilities for the presidency; and in the most important election for this country tries to halt the Obama momentum by "suspending" his campaign with an excuse that only a low information voter and a die hard right wing base could pretend to believe.

 

From Reuters: "Republican presidential candidate John McCain said on Wednesday he will break off from campaigning to help on a Wall Street rescue plan and asked that a Friday debate with Democrat Barack Obama be postponed.

"McCain, in a statement to reporters, said he would suspend his campaign on Thursday to return to Washington."

This is an example of playing politics rather than putting country first.  Congress is quite capable of dealing with the financial mess, just as it has dealt with other important issues in his absence.

 

It is more important for the American voters to watch and listen to him in a debate with Barack Obama than have him meddling in fianancial problems that he helped cause (why give a bank robber a key to the vault?) .
