Last night at the Democratic National Convention there were three highlights and one disastrous lowlight.   Caroline Kennedy offered a gracious and touching introduction of her uncle, Senator Ted Kennedy.  Kennedy, recovering from brain surgery, was the usual exuberant warrior, receiving a thunderous ovation, and making what may be his last hurrah at a Democratic convention.

 

Michelle Obama gave a heatwarming speech about her family and her daughters were the sweethearts of the evening.

 

However, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi showed why she is a terrible House leader.  All she could come up with, mirroring her consistent failures and caving to Bush and his rubber stamp supporters in Congress, was a sentence about McSame being wrong.  Say what? 

 

A list of Bush crimes and scandals a mile long, and McSame's hypocrisy, lies, smears and sliming of Obama and McSame's danger to this nation with a third Bush term, and all Pelosi can come up with is he's wrong! Two terms of the criminal Bush regime inflicting crimes and catastrophe on this nation and its people and all she can come up with is McSame is wrong! 

 

Her milquetoast speech, indicative of her lousy record as House Speaker in which impeachment is still off the table, was pitiful.  Like her House leadership, she gave an absolutely spineless performance.

 

The theme of the evening was ostrich like.  The US is not one nation.  It has become a nation of government of, by and for the rich and the rest of us be damned because we're on our own, an economy rewarding the rich and punishing the rest of us.  It has become a nation of economic injustice, and no justice for all.  This convention has all the hallmarks of turning into the failed 2004 Democratic convention where Bush was ignored and the Democrats ultimately lost.

 

This wuss factor of the Democrats is characterized by the dreadful pool coverage of the convention by Fixed Entertainment Noise. But the Democratic Party didn't refuse the Bushite propaganda network's pool coverage many months ago and demand another network's pool coverage, they simply acquiesced.  What the hell is the matter with the Democrats?   By the way, the RNC convention is being pool covered by NBC. And Democrats wonder why they lose!
