Big Oil, Big Profits, Big Salaries and McCain Wants More Tax Breaks For Big Oil

Those prices at the gas pump are taking a toll on American workers who need their cars to travel to work.

For many low income wage earners it comes down to whether to eat or put a few gallons in the tank in order get a pay check to buy food.

Add to the mix President Bush, who like Sid McCain is delusional, and admits offshore drilling will have no effect on the price of gas, but, like McIdiot, will "change the psychology."

And the topper is this from Grist via Cursor.org: "Everyone is acutely aware that the price of oil is surging and gas prices break a new record almost daily. Less well-reported -- yet completely unsurprising -- is that the paychecks of Big Oil CEOs are also reaching new heights, according to a report by Equilar, as reported by MSN Money.

"Median S&P 500 CEO compensation: $9.9 million. Big Oil CEO pay range: $15-$21.7 million (!)

"Rex Tillerson, CEO of ExxonMobil, raked in an astonishing $21.7 million and is sitting on nearly $78 million of unvested stock options. (Though this is chump change compared to the obscene $500 million golden parachute his predecessor, Lee Raymond, received upon retirement. That is of course also the same amount ExxonMobil will have to pay in punitive damages for the ExxonValdez disaster, thanks to a recent wrongheaded Supreme Court decision.)

"David O'Reilly, CEO of Chevron, made $15.7 million and is sitting on $26.3 million in unvested options.

"James Mulva of ConocoPhillips made $15 million and has a whopping $234 million in options."

And McCain is in the thick of it with his ties to big oil.

As I wrote last week"J. Sid McMillionaire's trip to Latin American last week shines a spotlight on some little know facts about his ties to big oil, as in Colombia, the right wing led nation where he wants US jobs to be offshored there for workers' slave labor wages while union leaders in that country are being steadily killed.

"Sid has been a long time champion of big oil and they fill his campaign coffers, while he plans to give them billions in profit companies huge tax breaks."

That's Dubya and McBush, champions of giveaways to big oil and no regulation so they can make billions while hardworking regular Americans struggle with gas prices and making a living.

Yet, some of these struggling Americans plan to vote for McCain and against themselves!
