McBush Surrounds Himself With Unethical Lobbyists

John Sidney McHypocrite just loves having all those lobbyists on his campaign team.

It took scandalous revelations in the press and two campaign resignations before McLack of Integrity initiated a so-called conflict of interest policy. Now he's lost the fifth lobbyist campaign person, his financial co-chair.

From ThinkProgress: "Recently, two aides to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) were forced to resign because of ties to a firm that once represented the Burmese Junta. As a result, McCain introduced a “conflict-of-interest policy” for his campaign, requiring staffers to disclose clients that “could be embarrassing for the senator.” Newsweek reports that national finance co-chair Tom Loeffler has been lobbying on behalf of foreign interests:
[Loeffler’s] lobbying firm has collected nearly $15 million from Saudi Arabia since 2002 and millions more from other foreign and corporate interests, including a French aerospace firm seeking Pentagon contracts. Loeffler last month told a reporter “at no time have I discussed my clients with John McCain.” But lobbying disclosure records reviewed by NEWSWEEK show that on May 17, 2006, Loeffler listed meeting McCain along with the Saudi ambassador to “discuss US-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia relations.”
"Loeffler’s firm also hired Susan Nelson, McCain’s finance director, as a consultant to “help him with his clients” while she continued working for the campaign. But election law prohibits “any outside entity from subsidizing the income of campaign workers.” After Newsweek raised questions about the matter, the campaign “confirmed Loeffler’s resignation and the termination of Nelson’s consulting contract.”

As I wrote earlier this month, McCain, the man of no integrity, surrounds himself in his campaign with his most favorite people, lobbyists with no integrity.

Like Charlie Black, his unethical confidant: "...BKSH & Associates chairman Charlie Black announced that he was quitting his lobbying firm to join Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) presidential campaign full-time, effective March 31. Prior to this arrangement, however, Black had already been serving as a senior adviser to the campaign, according to Think Progress."

"And from Raw Story: "A bizarre Capitol Hill ceremony a few years ago in which the eccentric conservative publisher the Rev. Sun Myung Moon declared himself the Second Coming was organized with help from a senior adviser to John McCain's presidential campaign.

"Charlie Black, a Washington lobbyist and McCain confidant, lent his name to the coronation ceremony and invited a few friends, according to newly disclosed e-mails."

My conclusion in my posting is still valid:

"If these buzzards are examples of McBumbler's team, then Johnny boy shows no competence in leadership and exhibits no integrity."
