Bushites' Continuing Attempted Scams and Crimes
Bush and his administration officials' criminal minds continue doing their dirty work.
An addition to the humongous and still growing list of Bushite crimes and scandals is this gem.
According the the Associated Press, "A Bush administration plan to crack down on contract fraud has a multibillion-dollar loophole: The proposal to force companies to report abuse of taxpayer money will not apply to work overseas, including projects to secure and rebuild Iraq and Afghanistan.
"A spokeswoman for the White House Office of Management and Budget, which oversees federal procurement policy, declined to answer questions about the planned exemption of overseas contractors from the beefed-up requirements for reporting fraud."
As I wrote in "Defense Contractor Fraud Hurts Every American," earlier this month, "Under the Bush administration, defense contractor fraud has reached its zenith....Bush's invasion and occupation of Iraq has been a money machine for Shrub's buddies, the GOP corporate defense contractors. Just Google "Defense Contractor Fraud" and voila, a veritable buffet of crime perpetrated on the American taxpayers and a Pentagon that continues to dole out taxpayers' money to these corporate fraudsters....CorpWatch has more excellent information about these defense contractors' crimes and the the lack of accountability, lack of oversight, and corporate "profits are everything" philosophy instead of concern for of the lives and safety of our troops."
Another Bushite proposal to protect Dubya and Cheney's Iraq invasion and occupation corporate profiteering buddies (and in Afghanistan, too) from accountability for defrauding, (raping and assaulting female employees), and stealing from the American people.
