Andrea Mitchell and Alan Greenspan Deserve Each Other
While on Cliff Schecter's blog just now, I watched the video of NBC's Andrea Mitchell's lying about polls comparing Nancy Pelosi and her ethically, legally, and morally impaired Bushite predecessor, Republican Denny Hastert who resigned under a cloud. Hats off to Josh Marshall and crew at TPM Cafe via Schecter, for catching and debunking Mitchells's "creative use of polls" aka lying.
This so called reporter is as terrible as her husband, Alan Greenspan, when it comes to facts, the truth, and integrity.
As I wrote in previous posts about Alan, the loyal Republican minion, "Alan Greenspan, former Federal Reserve chairman and Republican flunkie extraordinaire, played a key role in the mortgage crisis. He promoted adjustable rate mortgages that were risky and other highly levered ownership propositions. Greenspan is now trying to absolve himself by pointing the finger elsewhere, a hallmark of a true Bushite."
"Lending institutions are said to have "woefully overestimated" the value of assets on their books. That's doublespeak for "lying to cover the lies and blatant greed.
"Bernanke, Paulsen, and good old Greenspan are choreographing a new tap dance that shows concern, when, in fact, they helped create the crisis by omission and commission."
(Type in Greenspan on the search menu button on this site to read the postings.)
Andrea Mitchell and her husband, Alan Greenspan, are willing to lie, damn the facts, to serve own purposes and that of their Bushite Republican masters. Mitchell's report doesn't even qualify as opinion because the facts are still wrong. Perhaps she should join Bill Kristol at the NY Times.
