MSNBC Should Be Ashamed
I happened to briefly turn on MSNBC to watch Keith Olbermann and some of the New Hampshire primary returns while grabbing a bite to eat....a break from the computer. Who should appear but Olbermann's co-host Chris "Tweetybird" Matthews (aargh!) talking to Tom DeLay. MSNBC had to scrape the bottom of the rotten Republicans barrel to use "the Hammer." The question is, why? Does MSNBC enjoy shooting itself in the foot?
DeLay, the scandal(s) tainted, indicted and resigned member of the US House of Representatives and former bug man, seems to be up to his usual dirty tricks according to Capitol Annexvia Down with Tyranny that says:
"Capitol Annex has learned that Travis County District Attorney Candidate Mindy Montford (D-Austin), daughter of AT&T lobbyist and former Texas State Senator John Montford, is putting the squeeze on corporate lobbyists–especially those with ties to the controversial Texas Association of Business–to fund her primary campaign and will.
"Sources also tell Capitol Annex that corporate lobbyists contributing to Montford’s campaign are doing so in the hopes that, if elected, she will drop the state’s prosecution of indicted former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Sugar Land).
Another guest of Tweetybird was Tom Ridge, former head of Homeland Security, who panicked Americans by warning them to stock up on duct tape and plastic sheeting to protect against a terrorist attack which was synonymous with ducking under a classroom desk for protection in case of nuclear attack. Ridge was also known for the laughable color coded alert system, another fraud, which would rise suspiciously whenever Bush's ratings decreased or there was news that needed to be suppressed.
If MSNBC news really wants to be taken seriously (right now only Keith Olbermann, David Schuster and Dan Abrams qualify in that category), it should dump Scarborough, Tucker and Tweetybird and discontinue inviting such Republican integrity challenged, ignorant dolts as DeLay and Ridge for important programs like election coverage.

"It’s also rumored that DA Ronnie Earle himself is going to come out swinging on this one and let the world know what is going on–and how corporate lobbyists are trying to buy the Travis County DA’s race.
