Chris Van Hollen, what's the matter with you! Fox is not a legitimate news network and Karl Rove, a lying GOP rodent, is an unworthy "debate" opponent. Quit giving Fox and Rove legitimacy. Those who watch Fox will not be persuaded by you. In knowledge about national and international issues, Fox viewers rank almost dead last. As a congressional representative and chair of the DCCC, you should know better.
This is from a post I wrote on 11/19/07 titled, Democrats Should Boycott Fox: "Some of these Dems claim that it shows strength and that they are not afraid of Fox. Instead, by appearing on the network they enable Fox, as a Republican Party house organ, to continue maintaining its phony legitimacy. Democrats are providing cover for a Republican Party front organization lie. How dumb! Democrats should just get smart: ignore Fox."
Michael Tomasky, editor of Guardian America feels the same way. He writes, "In the meantime, Democrats should ratchet up their refusal to pretend that Fox bears any relationship to news. I've always felt they should just boycott the network en bloc. One can be pretty confident that if the situation were reversed - imagine a cable channel that was known as a Democratic house organ and run by, say, Bill Clinton adviser James Carville - Republicans would have done something like that long ago...."
